Most of us are familiar with Starry Night, the impasto masterpiece painted by Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh in 1889. The expressionist landscape is full of movement and energy, with swirling lights in the sky taking on a life of their own.
What you may not be familiar with is this popular rendition, aided by optical illusion:
