Leo The Lion
This behind-the-scenes photograph shows studio technicians recording Leo the Lion, the mascot appearing at the introduction of MGM motion pictures for the past 90 years.
There have been at least 7 lions used by the studio from before the merger of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1924 to present, and evidence of a microphone in this photo suggests this might be Jackie, who was not the original mascot (that honor goes to Slats), but was the first lion to be heard roaring and went on to appear in over 100 films from 1928 to 1956.
