Basket Cases
Two Japanese women wear baskets to hide their faces in shame while in the docket of a Tokyo Courtroom.

"The Year is 1922. We are in the middle of the Taisho period. What these girls did to get in so much trouble, I will leave to your imagination. Whatever it was, they were hiding their shame and their faces from the public. Off to the left, and out of the picture stands a police officer of the Court. In the blackness beyond sits a crowd of onlookers."
