The Magic of Quantum Levitation
What do you get when you take a crystal sapphire, coat it with yttrium barium copper oxide ceramic, then use liquid nitrogen to cool it to -301ºF (-185ºC)? Classical music, superconductivity, and quantum locking.
The energy requirements to achieve this on a large scale would be enormous, but think of the implications: frictionless, zero energy-loss transport. As Boaz Almog of Tel Aviv University would state at a Ted Talk presentation, a 3-inch disk in this quantum state is able to lift an object 70,000 times it's own weight!
