This Photo Captures The Moment Passengers Of The Titanic Are Rescued By RMS Carpathia
"Tell him we are coming as fast as we can"
Such was the reply from Arthur Rostron, captain of the RMS Carpathia, upon receipt of a disturbing message received at 12:25am by the RMS Titanic: "Come at once. We have struck a berg. It's a CQD (precursor to the "SOS" signal), old man."
This incredibly unique image captures lifeboat passengers boarding the Carpathia, taken the same morning of April 15, 1912.
