July 24, 1963.  The Rose Garden of the White House.  While attending the American Legion Boys Nation program, a 16 year-old William Clinton shakes hands with the 35th president of the United States.

Almost 30 years later, Bill Clinton would himself be sworn in as America's 42nd president, later stating that this handshake with John F. Kennedy was the inspiration for his life of public service.  From Marilyn Monroe to Macanudo cigars, we've come a long way.
